Regional councils have been integral part in helping various state administrations over the last two decades implement their programs and policies at the local level, including transportation, job development, environmental protection, housing, weatherization and local government collaboration.

We want to continue to promote this local partnership with the state. Regional councils have enormous potential in helping make state and local government more efficient and effective in the delivery of services. Some of the areas where Regional councils have a role include:
